Weight Watcher's Update...

Well, I well and truly fell off the weight watchers wagon for the past 3 weeks. I have been poorly which didn't help my motivation at all and also sometimes once you start to feel good about your weigh loss its harder to carry on because you don't have that 'hatred' of your weight that you once had when you started. Or maybe that's just me!

So I have decided to get back to it! I have to

So off I went to the weigh in and was to be honest pretty nervous, I had been away for almost 3 weeks, full of cakes, chocs, take aways and well things that weigh watchers cringe at!

I stepped on the scales and had put on ... only 1/2 a pound I was sooo pleased and it proves that weight watchers does retrain your brain to make the healthier choices.

Now one week on and the next weigh in I had stayed the same... this last 8lb is proving increasingly difficult, but now I am determined to get it off!

I have an outing coming up this week for my boyfriends birthday and we are off for a meal at pizza express. Now Pizza and weight watchers hmmm.. may be a concern although after a look through their website I discovered they now have the new 'Leggera' range which are all the lighter options, and it is supported by Weight watchers so you will find the points calculations for many of the meal options worked out on their website.

So good all around hey! I can celebrate with him and keep on track.. lovely! :)

Well I will get there eventually I hope!

Are you having an up and down weight watchers journey?

Topshop recent purchases....

I did quite a big order online at Topshop recently but I haven't bought anything from Topshop for a while so I was quite pleased!

I usually try to think about purchases online before I actually buy them as oh too often I have bought something and thought what am I going to wear that with?!

So a bought a pretty casual outfit and a gorgeous pretty tea dress....

CASUAL OUTFIT

Knitted dark rose tape style kimono cardigan £40
Cream basic scallop vest £15

Black basic ankle leggings £12
white leopard print heart tank top £20

I thought these would make a perfect casual outfits for a uni day or a days shopping!

And the tea dress...
Vintage spot rose dress £46

This dress is gorgeous and in a silk like material, floaty perfect for a warm day and  gorgeous print!

The kimono cardi is a slouchy fit and is lovely and snuggly
The scallop vest is rather see through! But will be ok for a holiday outfit or a summers day, if we get any that is!

What do you think?

China Glaze Papaya Punch

This is my first China Glaze nail polish, and I pretty impressed with this one!

The colour is gorgeous and perfect for summer!!

The consistency is fairly runny, so care is needed that it doesn't drip everywhere!

But other than that, love it!

  • Good shaped handle to hold, I know some polish handle can be quite awkward to hold!

  • brush is a good size to cover the nail in a few strokes

  • I used 3 coats of product to get a good solid block of colour

  • The China glaze polishes are pretty glossy too!

What do you think about China Glaze?

Glamour magazine freebie! July edition

The lovely Glamour magazine has another great freebie this month which is a selection of Benefit products, there are 3 to chose from and they include Benefits High Beam highlighter liquid, Posie tint lip and cheek stain and Bene-tint the original cheek and lip stain.

I picked the Posie lip and cheek tint as it is a pinky colour rather than a red, so I will let you know what I think of it once I have had chance to try it out for a good while!

Get on down to your local newsagents as I have heard they are selling out fast!!

Colour Club Nail polish- Worth the Risque

Colour Club Nail Polish in Worth the Risque is a kind of holographic nail polish.

I searched for this after seeing the gorgeous GOSH  version on a few blog's .

Obviously I am kinda late to the game on this one as it has been discontinued and is on Ebay from starting prices of £15!!!

Well I am not for spending that much on one nail polish, so off I went in search of a dupe.

And I found Colour Club.

I bought this online too, from Ebay and it looked perfect.

It is gorgeous when the light catches it in the right places but when it doesn't it was kind of a let down really, just a normal silver coloured nail polish, I must say I was a little disappointed! :(

But like I say when the light catches it is gorgeous I hope you are able to see this in the pictures.

I would give this 5/10 it wouldn't be a regular nail polish as I got rather bored with it after two days!

Not enough 'WOW' for me i'm afraid. :(

Style Icons

My Style Icons.

My style is very varied and I don't just have one particular look.

One thing that is a constant is that I like to look individual, although with the masses of the same clothing the high street churn out, this can prove very difficult!

Although, who cares if you have the same top or dress on as someone else? You are probably wearing it in two very different ways.

This is why I love accessories so much!

I am an absolute lover for statement rings, in a major way in fact! I have dozens and dozens of them, each for different outfits and different moods.

I also love scarves, scarves can change an outfit in an instant and can give jeans and a vest an instant trend boost if it is in the latest print or colour.

I do get inspiration from magazines and the famous people I see etc although alot of the time I know in the back of my mind that most of these people have a stylist, a wonderful talented person behind the scenes that has a beautiful eye for the perfect outfit. Although, I know of course some of these famous people have this flair themselves, this is when we see them in jeans and flip flops and they still love effortless.

Here I have put together a short collection of some of the people I think have a flair for fashion and those who always look oh so perfect....

                                    LAUREN CONRAD

Ok so Lauren is a Fashion designer, and has worked in fashion for many years, so of course she is a stylish lady! But she makes how she has put together such a gorgeous outfit look so easy and very enviable!

MOLLIE KING

Mollie is frequently in the magazines and the best thing is the majority of what she wears is High Street and therefore affordable for people like us! I hate it when you see someone wearing something absolutely gorgeous check where it is from and it ends up being hundreds if not thousands of pounds, a bit disappointing to say the least! She always looks gorgeous but puts things together in a perfect way.

FRANKIE SANDFORD

Just like her band mate Mollie her fashion sense is spot on at all times, even in this casual look she is bang on trend with her tan jeans and again the majority of what Frankie wears is high street so easy to find for us! Despite this being skinny jeans and a vest she looks effortlessly fashionable and stunning! Frankie is never afraid to experiment with many trends from the girlie trends right through to rock chick looks, which I love to do myself so I absolutely love Frankie's style!

ALEX GERRARD

Ok, Alex does have the 'WAG' status and WAGs can get bad press when it comes to fashion, although I think Alex always looks great! Apart from the Juicy Couture tracksuit and moon boots combo a few years back, wow that WAS bad, lets try and forget about that one for now, a girl can make a fashion mistake can't she? I know I have, many times! But as you can see from this casual picture, she has little make-up on, flat dolly shoes, cardigan, skinny's and looks fab! Easy casual outfit to put together and again, all similar items available on the High Street!!

I also get lots of inspiration from people around me and from people that I pass in the street, it often happens that I see something in a shop that I am either not sure of or I come to the decision that it wouldn't look right on me... and then I go and see it on someone else and it looks gorgeous the way they have styled it! So I often go back and grab it if I can, although the bank balance doesn't always agree!

Who are your fashion icons? Are the the same as mine?

Lots of love
