Maybelline Fit Me Foundation 220

I picked this up in my local tesco last
night along with the concealer to match.

The foundation is on offer at Tesco at the moment for £7.99 which I thought was reasonable to trial it.

Along side the display of foundation there was an easy to use guide. The guide was split in to Fair, Medium and Dark skin tones. There is two different shades of foundation in each section which personally I think this makes it easier to choose from, although I can see this may be more of a hindrance if you don't fit in to that specific shade.

I picked shade 220 in foundation and shade 20 in the concealer.

I must say when I applied this foundation this morning it was lovely, easy to blend and a perfect colour match. It left a dewy finish making the skin look healthy and not 'cakey'.

This picture is at 8:15am when the foundation was first applied. I applied the foundation with my fingers rather than a foundation brush this time.

And 7 hours later...

The foundation first thing did cover blemishes but not fully so I did need to use the concealer on these areas. I finish the makeup with MAC mineralize skinfinish and Mac Blusher.

7 hours later the foundations coverage is still visible but the coverage on blemishes had gone completely  As you can see round the chin area on the second picture.

I would say this foundation is definitely a day wear foundation if you have blemishes you need to cover. You may wish to have a heavier coverage foundation for evening wear. I would say this is a light to medium coverage foundation.

Overall I do like this foundation so far. However I will see in a few weeks if this is still my opinion!

Bourjois Flower Perfection Foundation in 52 Vanille

I am amongst many beauty bloggers who adore Bourjois Healthy mix foundation. If you haven't tried the Health Mix foundation go for it! You can see my review on Healthy Mix HERE... But before you go... have a read of this foundation review!

Unlike Healthy Mix foundation the New Flower perfection is a medium to full coverage foundation. Depending on the day and how my skin looks I adjust what foundation I use each day depending on what level of coverage I would like. Therefore having Bourjois Healthy for a lighter coverage and Bourjois Flower Perfection for heavier coverage in my kit I can't go wrong!

I am shade 52 in both foundations which I love because all too often I have bought another foundation by the same brand in the same colour I have previously bought, yet they are completely different colours!

Lovely packaging easy to use, the sponge applicator that comes in the lid of the product is pretty useless but don't let that turn you off the product. Pump action bottle. Gorgeous foundation easily blendable and great medium to full coverage.

 What do you think?

Maybelline Air Foam foundation in 030 Sand

I have always been a fan of the Maybelline dream foundations and I could not wait to try this one when it was first advertised. I must admit during my trip to Boots to buy this it is so hard to choose the correct colour.

I learnt from a mistake I made a while ago when I switch from the Maybelline Dream foundation to the Superstay foundation and picked out the same colour I had been using. Big mistake it was a completely different colour than in the original dream foundation... very strange.

So there I was stood in boots by a rather messy display stand and then I realised why the stand was so full of foundation! The huge amount of foundation that comes out of this bottle from one spray is incredible, it is just like squirting out some hair mousse onto you hand, leaving with far to much for one application. The bottle is not clear either so you can't even gage the colour through the bottle.

The bottle is in the usual Maybelline style and the product is rather thin when applied. I was rather disappointed, I wouldn't consider the coverage level as a foundation more that of a tinted moisturiser, a very natural face perfecter. Although, it is build-able which does give you a much better coverage.... It does dry rather quickly too so my advice is work fast! I have found this foundation works best straight after applying your primer it blends far easier!

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation in #52

I have seen this foundation around for a while and thought it may be a light coverage and so have never looked into it further, although my friend recently tried it and loved it! So I thought I would give it a go!

I would say the foundation is a light to medium coverage and smells gorgeous!

It is obviously a 'healthy mix' of  Apricot for radiance, Melon for hydration, Apple antioxidants and Ginger for Energy. It makes me wonder why we are putting anything other than these ingredients on our skin!

The smell reflects the ingredients, very fruity!  It glides on very smoothly, although the scent does disappear after pro longed wear.

It wears fairly evenly and it leaves a very dewy finish so if you are after a matte foundation I would say this is probably not for you, although I just matte it down with powder and it seems to do the trick! As I do like an in between!

I do think that mind over matter has a lot to do with this foundation as you feel good wearing it! It isn't heavy and with all the yummy ingredients you feel like you are actually helping your skin out rather than covering it with a mask everyday.

I would recommend this foundation if you are happy with a light to medium coverage with a dewy finish to the skin.

The colour range with the foundation is also great for me as I have yellow undertones to my skin! I am using shade 52.

I am thinking of buying a shade either side of 52 too, for my more paler/tanned days!

Colour: #52
Smell: Fruit
Packaging: Plastic pump bottle
Price:£9.99

Do you have this foundation?

What do you think?

Lots of Love
