Sigma Brushes- Make me Crazy

MaKe Me CrAzY!

This is my very first investment in Sigma brushes as I have always used MAC brushes.

Sigma brushes are raved about all over blog and You Tube world so I thought I would get myself a piece of the action and as I didn't have a full set of brushes I thought, what a perfect place to start?! :)

I ordered them from the Sigma website, with postage added, the final sum was $107.65 altogether, which works out as £67.67

I was not disappointed when I got this collection!

The brushes are of gorgeous quality and the purple colour is absolutely beautiful!

Sigma has put this collection together from their best selling brushes on their website, with the collection available in Black, Purple, Pink and Turquoise.

I have the Purple collection which is the 'Make me Crazy' collection

There are 12 brushes altogether and here is a break down of them all:

Eyeliner - E05

fine tipped synthetic fibre brush for a perfect line to the eyes.

Pencil - E30

Natural Bristles...Precise application of colour on the crease, outer corner, and upper and lower lash line. Also ideal to smudge out pencil liner.

Tapered Blending - E40

Rounded and tapered top. Use to apply and blend colour on the crease. Natural bristles.

Eye Shading - E55

Soft and dense with a rounded finish. Can be used to apply pressed or loose eye shadows and pigments. Natural bristles.

Large Shader - E60

Flat shape is ideal for application of cream formulas  It also works great with loose eye shadows or pigments. Can be used to apply colour all over the lid. Natural bristles.

Small Angle - E65

Can be used for the application of gel or eyeliner on the upper and lower lash line. This brush is also excellent for filling out the eyebrows. Synthetic bristles.

Medium Angled Shading - E70

Angled, tapered, flat top. Ideal to apply highlight shades underneath the eyebrow and on the inner corners. It can also be used for a precise application of darker shades on the crease area. Natural bristles.

Large Powder - F30

Very dense with a rounded top. Ideal to apply powder products on face and body. Natural bristles.

Large Angled Contour - F40

Angled shape perfect for applying blush or contour shades. Natural bristles.

Duo Fibre - F50

perfect to create an 'airbrushed' finish to liquid foundation. It can also be used to apply blush, highlight shades and loose pigments. Blend of synthetic and natural bristles.

Foundation - F60

Can be used to apply liquid or cream foundation. Synthetic bristles.

Concealer - F70

The rounded, tapered, flat shape makes this brush ideal to conceal the under eye area. It is also recommended for a precise application in small areas. Synthetic bristles.

The holder which the brushes come in changes in to two brush holders too! Perfect for travelling as the case is  solid and sturdy, perfect for keeping all those lovely brushes safe!

The hollow case splits in half and is secure by popper tabs at each side.

poppers on the side

Of course, all these brushes don't have to be used for the stated purpose for example I use the tapered blending brush for buffing in concealer too! :)

Gorgeous set of brushes I would give them 10/10

Beautiful colour, a lot different to the usual black handled brushes.

My favourite brush from the kit 'small angled brush' for my eyebrows and pencil brush for perfect application of colour to the crease!

Have you purchased any of the Make me... brush kits from Sigma?

Sleek Eyeshadow Palette in STORM

Heya girlies!

This was my first purchase from Sleek Make up and what a way to kick my collection off!

Absolutely LOVE this palette!

Gorgeous colours, fantastic pigmented shadows, all complementary to each other.

You get 12 eye shadows in this palette and this is the Storm collection. Other collections of colours are available.

There are 9 metallic  eye shadows in this palette and 3 matte colours.

Here I have numbered the colours on the palette, just purely for convenience when talking about individual colours here and in other posts too [I will link to this post each time to make it easier! :) ]

I found that the metallic colours were a lot more pigmented than the matte.

The matte colours needed a lot more work and layering to build a true colour

SWATCHES

Bag it or bin in?

Definitely bag this one! I use this palette almost everyday and I find that if you chose the right colours together it can easily work for a daytime eye and also a evening eye too :)

Do you have any of the other Sleek palettes? what do you think of them?

Collection 2000 Lasting Colour Lipsticks

Hey Girls!

I am starting to sense a pattern in my lip colours, they are all different shades of pink! Hmmm maybe I need to branch out a little and try something other than pink? :)

Although, I have always gone for a lighter colour on my lips just because I missed out in a decent share of a gorgeous pout when God was giving out looks! :)

I always think a darker lip colour makes your lips look small so I have always gone for the lighter shades to give me a fair chance of the game! :)

Plus all that effort... is my lipstick ok, do I have it on my teeth? my face even? I can't be bothered with anything like that when I am out for the evening! so I would rather be wearing a lip colour that doesn't 'make' the look, so if it wears away I'm not too bothered because my look doesn't depend on it

HOWEVER it is a woman's prerogative to change her mind... sometimes... and with these two beauties you will see why.

These are Collection 2000 Lasting Colour Lipsticks in number 6 Bubblegum and number 8 Sweet Tart.

BUBBLEGUM                        SWEET TART

These are bright colours which take confidence to wear, coming from a nude lip person, if you are a bright red lippie lover then you will probably be rolling your eyes at me here :)

Lasting Colour... are they? Yes indeedy! I have worn each of these on nights out and they have lasted a good few hours at least and this is with having a drink, talking and singing away!!

Lovely moisturising feel to the lipstick, glides on smooth

BUBBLEGUM

SWEET TART

BAG IT OR BIN IT?

Great lipsticks, lasts for a few hours at least, true pigmented colours, smooth and moisturising and for the price of £2.99 these are an absolute steal!

I think the quality of collection 2000 is amazing for the prices and the quality has increased incredibly over the years!

What do you think of Collection 200 products?

F.O.T.D- Simple natural face :)

Face Of The Day

A simple make up for a simple sunny day, nothing important happening, apart from make up of course!

I generally go for a simple eye and lip during the day, with neutral colours on the eyes and a light coloured gloss or balm on the lip

Here is what I am wearing for todays FOTD:

FACE
Maxfactor Lasting Performance Foundation in 106 Natural Beige
Maxfactor Facefinity compact powder foundation in 03 Natural (to set- I find this helps to achieve a flawless finish to foundation)
Collection 2000 Blush in 02 Bashful

EYES
Rimmel Exaggerate waterproof eye definer in 26 Noir
Rimmel soft kohl in 071 pure white eyeliner (on bottom lid)
Collection 2000 Big Fake False Lash effect mascara in 17 Ultra Black
Rimmel Professional Eyebrow pencil in
Sleek MakeUp eyeshadow no 2 in Storm palette.

LIPS

Blistex Relief cream- protective lip cream

What do you think? Do you go for a simple day make up or are you ultra glam always?

Barry M Lipgloss #4

Hey Ladies!

I picked up this lipgloss last week and I must say I am absolutely in love with it!

I have wanted a light barbie pink lipgloss for ages and have finally found it... There is actually a longgg story behind me trying to get this lipgloss as it was sold out in my local stores that stock Barry M... but the good news is I got it! :)

I have never tried Barry M lipgloss before but have many of their nail paints so I knew the gloss would be good quality, and I wasn't wrong.

Gorgeous consistency, thick but not gloopy or sticky, glides on very easily and has a smooth texture.

The colour is very true to what you see in the bottle which I think is great! All to often have a picked up a gloss that looks fab in the bottle and then looks nothing like it on the lip! Always a very weak colour... but not this one! :)

A light pink colour with a subtle shimmer to it, you can have a light wash of colour with a light application or a more intense block of colour with a heavier application.

So Bag it or Bin it?

Definitely Bag this beauty! Certainly if you are a fan of pink glosses! Gorgeous in every way!

Do you have any Barry M lip glosses?
